Tour Overview

Majuli, cradled by the mighty Brahmaputra, is the world's largest river island and the spiritual heart of Assam's neo-Vaishnavite culture. Its satras (monasteries) have preserved 500-year-old traditions of dance, music and mask-making.

This 5-day journey blends slow island life — bamboo homestays, potters' villages, Mishing tribal hamlets and sunrise over the river — with the wildlife of Kaziranga, for a complete taste of upper Assam.

  • Auniati, Kamalabari & Samaguri satras
