October to May is the best time, with clear skies. Dawki's river is at its clearest in the dry winter months, while the monsoon brings dramatic waterfalls.
The double-decker living root bridge at Nongriat involves around 3,500 steps down and back. It is moderately challenging; we can suggest easier alternatives like the Riwai single-root bridge.
